AAP: 2011 Healthy Tomorrows Partnership for Children Grant Cycle
The Healthy Tomorrows Partnership for Children Program announced its grant cycle. Applications are due on Friday, October 15, 2010.
As you may know, pediatrician involvement and chapter partnership are important parts of Healthy Tomorrows projects. Application guidance strongly encourages applicants to develop relationships with their local AAP Chapter during the application process. Applicants are also required to demonstrate pediatrician involvement in their project. For these reasons, applicants may look to chapter leadership for guidance and assistance. We have developed the Healthy Tomorrows Supplemental Materials to help applicants and chapters with the application process. Topics covered in the materials include:
- Suggestions for developing a program proposal
- Promoting pediatrician participation and American Academy of Pediatrics chapter involvement in Healthy Tomorrows grants
- Creating advisory boards
- Developing an evaluation plan
- Example budget and justification
- Resources for community-based initiatives
